Scrum and Kanban That Actually Sticks — Because Your People Build It Themselves.
A hands-on agile methods training workshop for teams and organisations — delivered in Berlin and online by ICF-certified coach Niv Nowbakht. Scrum sprints, Kanban boards, and practical tools your team can implement the next morning.
Most teams don’t lack effort — they lack the systems to focus that effort. This workshop gives your people Scrum and Kanban as practical tools they can implement the next morning. No theory. No certification. Just methods that work.
A Practical Agile Workshop for Teams and Organisations
This is for you if
Your teams are productive but reactive
— constantly firefighting, switching context, unable to prioritise what actually moves the needle.
You’ve tried agile training before
— and it disappeared into a slide deck. You need something that sticks because participants build it themselves.
You want practical tools, not frameworks
— your teams don’t need SAFe. They need something they can use tomorrow without a consultant.
What we hear before every workshop
Research shows
71%
of organisations adopt agile primarily to improve their ability to manage changing priorities
14th State of Agile Report, Digital.ai
1.5x
more likely to be top performers — organisations that have fully implemented agile practices
McKinsey & Company, 2022
23%
higher profitability in companies with highly engaged, self-organising teams
Gallup State of the Global Workplace, 2023
What happens when your teams stay stuck in the same patterns?
Velocity drops, frustration rises
Work keeps coming in but nothing gets finished. Teams are busy but not productive. The backlog grows, morale drops, and your best people start asking why they bother prioritising at all.
Meetings multiply, clarity doesn’t
Without a shared system, coordination happens in meetings. More meetings mean less deep work. Less deep work means slower delivery. Slower delivery means more pressure — and the cycle continues.
Agile becomes a buzzword, not a practice
You’ve invested in agile training. But without experiential learning and real tools people can use immediately, it stays theoretical. Your teams nod in workshops and return to their old habits by Monday.
Top performers leave first
The people who care most about doing good work are the first to get frustrated when systems don’t support them. They find organisations where work actually flows.
Here’s What We’ll Build Together
In one focused day, your team experiences Scrum through a live sprint and builds their own Kanban board with their actual work. They leave with tools in hand — not slides in a folder.
✓ One day, in person or online
✓ Immediate tools participants can use the next morning
✓ No prerequisites — works for mixed teams and experience levels
What participants take away
A Personal Kanban Board
Built during the workshop with their actual tasks. Not a template — their real workflow, visualised and ready to use from day one.
WIP Limits That Stick
Each participant sets their own Work-In-Progress limit and understands why it matters. Context switching drops. Focus increases.
Scrum Experienced, Not Just Explained
Participants run a real sprint — with roles, backlog, daily standup, review and retrospective. They know what it feels like before they decide whether to implement it.
Obstacles Named and Planned For
A dedicated module on what will get in the way — and a concrete sentence each participant will say to their manager or team the following week.
AI as a Productivity Lever
A live demo showing how AI accelerates agile work — backlog creation, retrospective summaries, documentation. An optional layer for teams ready to go further.
A Commitment That’s More Than a Post-It
Each participant leaves with a digital Kanban board, a completed Agility Compass self-assessment, and one concrete commitment — spoken aloud in the group.
Your Facilitator: Niv Nicolas Nowbakht
about me
Niv has been working with teams and organisations on agile methods, leadership, and professional development for over 12 years. His background spans communication studies, ICF-certified coaching, and facilitation across diverse industries — in Berlin and internationally.
His workshops are built on one principle: participants experience before they understand. The Scrum sprint happens before Scrum is explained. The Kanban board is built with real tasks before WIP limits are discussed. That’s why the learning sticks.
Participants consistently report leaving with more clarity and more concrete tools than they expected.
Common Questions
We’ve done agile training before and it didn’t stick. Why will this be different?
Because participants don’t sit and listen — they do. The Scrum sprint happens in the room. The Kanban board is built with their actual tasks. The obstacles to implementation are named and planned for on the day. That’s the difference between a session people forget and one they reference three months later.
Our teams have mixed agile experience. Will this work?
Yes. The workshop is designed for mixed groups. Experienced participants go deeper on application; beginners get the foundation they need. The peer coaching format means people learn from each other as much as from the facilitator.
How do I make the business case internally?
After our alignment call, I’ll provide a one-page brief you can use with your stakeholders — covering the programme outline, investment, and expected outcomes. Most HR leads use it to move internal approval within two weeks.
In person or online — what works better?
Both work well. In person is stronger for the Kanban board exercise — the physical clothesline board creates a different kind of engagement. Online works well for distributed teams. We’ll discuss what’s right for your group on the alignment call.
What’s the minimum group size?
6 participants is the minimum for the peer coaching and group dynamics to work well. Maximum is 20. For larger groups, we run parallel tracks.
Is this a certification programme?
This is a practice programme, not a certification programme. Participants leave with tools and habits they can apply immediately. For organisations that also need formal certification, I’m happy to recommend accredited partners — both approaches have their place.
